PROJECT PROPONENT INITIATIVES • REGULAR AND FORMAL DIALOGUE WITH PROJECT PROPONENTS - OBJECTIVES: – Reinforce State Government’s expectation that local industry be given “full, fair and reasonable” opportunity; – Understanding and appreciation of procurement methodology and business operations; – Shared vision of future supply opportunities; – Understand relative strengths and weaknesses of local suppliers; and – Capturing local benefits.

GLOBALISATION - COMMENTS • Natural Protection has gone. • More complex local content market in Western Australia. • Multi dimensional approach to servicing projects. • Emphasis on OSH, quality, understanding of project procurement practice and relationship building. • Project proponents and first tier suppliers must cooperate and buy in.
