Introduction of Infrared Sensor • Light sensor calculates the intensity of light falling on it. • It measures intensity in the form of lumens • It can detects ambient light falling on it and converts it into decimals • A Light Sensor is something that a robot can use to detect the current • ambient light level - i. e. how bright/dark it is Examples are automatic street light, Tunnel lights, etc
Working Principle • As light sensor measures intensity in the form of lumens , when brightness of light in the surrounding increases the light sensor intensity is also increases and when brightness decreases , the light sensor intensity value is also decreases • So it is easy for light sensor to detect brightness or darkness of light
Applications • Create a robotic car • Create robotic cockroach car • Intelligent Street light
Let’s make program on m. Bot using Light sensor 1. Run the m. Bot in forward direction until light sensor detect darkness
Logic of the program 1. When m. Bot starts 2. Check the light sensor intensity value 3. If intensity is less than 100 stop moving m. Bot otherwise move m. Bot in forward direction
2. Move m. Bot according to ambience light captured by light sensor

4. Turn ON LED & play sound at different intensity levels captured by light sensor
