Informative sketch Elementary Shape and Shading Simplifying Shape Explanatory Drawings: Exploded Views & Instructional Drawings
SIMPLIFYING SHAPE
Simplifying Shape • All shape can be generated from a combination of a basic block shape;
• Details will give drawings a more vivid and realistic appearance
• Guideline used to construct a shape will also be helpful to the reader of your drawing, as they provide extra visual information about shape.
Axonometric Projection
Elementary shapes and shading the rendering approach
Line Weight • Line on the shaded side (in this case, on the right hand side) and underneath are made heavier
Shading • Usually, a shadow cast on the floor is drawn darker than its casting on a wall. – Use different tone value and its relative – use one of the darkest tones in a drawing
Light Direction & Cast Shadow • The light direction is chosen to create the appropriate contrast and size of shadows;
Ray Light • Lamplight creates shadows that differ in shape, depending on the position of the light source
Shading • A shade surface appears darker if it is angled move away from the light source, so it creates difference shade of color on each of its visible sides.
Ambient Light Due to ambient light, Cast shadow fade out as they get further
Cylinders, Spheres, and Cones • Casting shadow start from the central axis
EXPLANATORY DRAWING
Exploded Views • It reveal the relationship between separate interior and exterior parts. • Consider balancing distance between parts in order to coherence the drawing
Instructional Drawing • At the start up project, the complex situation was analyzed and mapped in numerous drawings to reveal the situation in smaller design. • It help the client and designer get a grip on the enormous complexity.
