Clinical Research: About Us Here at County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust we are supporting the ‘It’s OK to Ask’ initiative. International evidence shows that involving patients in their care and treatment improves their health outcomes. The National Health Service pledges to inform all patients of any research studies in which you may be eligible to participate. These research trials help to improve the care we provide to mothers and babies. If you are interested in being involved in any of our current studies, please ask your Community Midwife, or go to our Trust website for further information. ‘Making Lives Better for Mothers and Babies’ Research is the way we collect information needed to improve the care we give you and your baby.
