Information for teachers This Power. Point presentation supports students to understand the context for the AS 91035 practice task Driven to distraction! It uses a whole class brainstorm to share prior knowledge about driver distraction and the effect of fatigue on concentration. This could be substituted with one of the other activities suggested in the teacher guide to these resources. The activity on slide 5 on multitasking shows students that adding in another activity (reciting the alphabet) makes the original task (writing down numbers) harder. There alternative tasks you could use in place of this, including timed tasks. NZ Transport Agency Education Portal: www. education. nzta. govt. nz
