To acquire skills in organising and accomplishing academic research 3. To acquire competences like analysing, cooperating, leading a project 4. General features of the program 1. A challenging program with opportunities for initiative, creativity, networking, but with no room for easy answers and idle, easy going learning 2. The program has an interdisciplinary approach of issues in health care, medicine and life sciences: biomedical and social sciences, historical and philosophical disciplines play their part 3. The program is open for students from all fields of study within FHML Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences

To integrate knowledge and apply methods from different disciplinary angles and awareness of the societal aspects of this knowledge 3. Identify theoretical, historical and philosophical context of scientific knowledge 4. Size and structure • 15 EC = 420 hours during 18 months • Starting

Projects and competences in practice What happens if I am admitted to the Honours programme? - We have 6 -8 different types of projects; You apply for a project and a specific “position”; Your profile will be matched against the project; You will identify your own strong and weaker competencies You will define with your coach a “learning-working” agreement. Selection procedure 1. The Honours programme is open for all FHML students and students

Selection procedure 1. The Honours programme is open for all FHML students and students of Midwifery Education and Studies 2. Students are admitted only if they: – can participate fully in the first three months of the programme and – Can participate in the year 2017 for at least 9 months* and – Can participate in the final stage of the project in 2018 3. 2. The coordinator of the programme makes the first selection of candidates * Exceptions can be discussed Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences
