This is a good example of individualism and collectivism. Indian people are collectivist, they tend to share their ideas and personal information comfortably. India’s score is 52 according to (Hofstede dimension REFERENCE TOO The Hofstede Centre 2016). On the other hand, American people are individualist they respect others privacy and their score is 91 (The Hofstede Centre 2016). Todd was uncomfortable because he used to keep this information as a privacy.

On the other hand, Restraint stands for a society that suppresses gratification of needs and regulates it by means of strict social norms and in this scene taxi’s driver said to Todd ( Sir its too expensive to take you to Bombie and Todd replied its Ok I will pay ) so Indian people restrained and its score according to Hofstede dimension is 74.
