Indian Health Service FY 2022 House Bill
FY 2022 House Mark On July 1, the House Appropriations Committee approved the FY 2022 Interior Appropriations bill. v The bill provides $8. 1 billion in discretionary funding for the IHS. § +$1. 9 billion above FY 2021, and § -$367 million below the FY 2022 President’s Budget. Goal 3: Management and Operations, Obj. 3. 3: Improve communication within the organization with tribes, urban Indian organizations, and 3 other stakeholders, and with the general public.
FY 2022 House Bill The bill provides the following funding levels for the IHS: v Services: $5. 8 billion, +$1. 5 billion above FY 2021 and +$121 million above the FY 2022 President’s Budget v Facilities: $1. 3 billion, +$367 million above FY 2021 and -$216 million below the FY 2022 President’s Budget v Contract Support Costs: $880 million, which is -$36 million below FY 2021 and -$261 million below the FY 2022 President’s Budget v Tribal Lease Payments: $150 million, +$49 million above FY 2021 Goal 3: Management and Operations, Obj. 3. 3: Improve communication within the organization with tribes, urban Indian organizations, and 4 other stakeholders, and with the general public.

Indian Health Service American Rescue Plan Act
American Rescue Plan Act Update IHS announced the final allocation decisions for the remaining $1. 8 billion in American Rescue Plan Act funds on June 22. § All but $600 million for COVID-19 facilities related activities is now allotted. § Remaining funds will be allotted this week. Goal 3: Management and Operations, Obj. 3. 3: Improve communication within the organization with tribes, urban Indian organizations, and 7 other stakeholders, and with the general public.
