Introduction Purpose: This class was developed not to “recreate the wheel, ” but to focus on the issues concerning Gwinnett County incident scene safety and examine the ISO directly. Also, to prepare for NPQ accreditation for ISO.

Course Scope n n n Within this course we will examine the following: History

Course Scope n n n Within this course we will examine the following: History of ISO Standards pertaining to ISO Duties/expectations GCFES policies GCFES RIT

Terminal Performance Objective n n To have the ability to implement the ISO position

Terminal Performance Objective n n To have the ability to implement the ISO position and successfully perform the task of the ISO. To receive accreditation through GFSTC for NPQ ISO certification.

Enabling Objectives n n Examine the history of the ISO. Examine the national standards

Enabling Objectives n n Examine the history of the ISO. Examine the national standards directly pertaining to the ISO. (NFPA 1500 and 1521).

Units n n n Unit 1: Introduction Unit 2: Risk Management Unit 3: Safety
