APICOL is the State Nodal Agency formed with the following objectives: 1) To provide necessary information regarding the scope of commercial and export oriented agriculture in the state of Odisha 2) To formulate schemes for bankable projects 3) To identify Entrepreneurs, guide and train them 4) To provide escort services to houses engaged in agri-business 5) To provide incentives under Agriculture Policy for Agro Industries & Food Processing Industries APICOL is also the Nodal Agency for the schemes of MFPI and acts as the virtual office of APEDA in Odisha which mainly promotes the processing & export of animal products.

What is CAE ? The activities/projects to be called as commercial agri enterprise under this scheme are enterprises including horticulture, floriculture, agro based industries, food processing industries, bio-technology and modern farming techniques. Projects based on Agriculture, Animal husbandry, fisheries are eligible in this scheme. The entrepreneur should get minimum income of 1. 00 lakh rupees per annum from the project

APEDA ASSITANCE • APICOL acts as the virtual office of APEDA, New Delhi. • APEDA provides assistance on infrastructure development, market development, quality management and setting and strengthening of laboratories on export oriented scheduled product like i. iii. iv. v. vi. ASSISTANCE THROUGH Mo. FPI APICOL acts as the SNA for Schemes of Mo. FPI Govt. of India. Provision of Grant in Aid General Area @ 25 % of the cost of plant and machineries and technical civil work maximum up to Rs. 50 lakhs Hilly Area (HP, Uttarakhand, J & K, Sikkim, North Eastern States and ITDP area, A & N Island ) @ 33 % of the cost of plant and machineries and technical civil work maximum up to Rs. 75 lakhs The entrepreneur can apply directly to Ministry through Commercial Banks submitting bankable projects on Fish, Meat, Egg and Milk processing units.
