In your Verb Tense notes write one paragraph
In your Verb Tense notes, write one paragraph in present tense (at least 5 sentences). When you are done, highlight the verbs and verb phrases. Use the same paragraph, and put those same verbs into past, future, past perfect, present perfect, and future perfect. (HINT: copy and paste is your friend, and those highlighted verb phrases are the only thing that should change). You should end up with 6 paragraphs. When you are done, start reading your outside reading book! Write down your starting page number, and towards the end of class, we will record your ending page number to find out how many pages you read.
Present Tense It is Thanksgiving morning, and I am beyond excited. I get up and run into the kitchen. I sniff the smells of fall: pumpkin, gravy, turkey. . . I can barely handle all of the smells! I check the timer and sample the mashed potatoes. The clock strikes 10 --how can I wait two more hours to eat?
