A photographer witnesses a murder and manages to shoot some pictures of the crime. The photos show the prime suspect in the case and match the detailed descriptions from other witnesses. The suspect has an airtight alibi and tells the police where to find the real murderer. Where did the police find the murderer, and how did the suspect know the murderer? • Put the date, jot your thoughts, and explain your thinking on your journal “Mysteries” page.

SOL PROCEDURES Get plenty of rest. Eat a good breakfast. Charge your Chromebook the night before, and bring your charged Chromebook to school on Monday, May 20 (Reading SOL day). Remember not to discuss any test material with anyone. You may not hold anything up to the screen or cover the screen. Bring your charged Chromebook and your work(s) of fiction with you. That’s it! Turn off cell phones, smart watches, electronic watches, and other devices and leave them in your locker. Go to first bell so they can take attendance; after you hear the announcement for testing, go to your assigned testing room. THE POE ESCAPE ROOM Dig more into Poe’s life by going to Schoology>Unit 5: Building a Mystery>Edgar Allan Poe folder and working through the Poe Escape Room. You will need to complete the worksheet as you go, and you will need to make sure your codes are correct before you move on to the next section. You may work with a partner. This is part of the Crime Scene matrix time.

If you want something else to do, I have plenty of other fiction mysteries for you to enjoy. Crime Scene items are all due by Thursday, May 30.
