What is the UCAS Personal Statement? • The UCAS personal statement is a 47 line (or 4, 000 character) piece of writing that allows you to tell the universities and colleges you are applying to why you’d like to study a particular course or subject, and what skills and experience you possess that show your passion for your chosen field. 3
