Maxilla � The maxillae are the two maxilla bones forming the upper jaw and palate of the mouth. The two halves are fused at the intermaxillary suture to form the upper jaw.

Palatine Bone � is situated at the back part of the nasal cavity between the maxilla and the pterygoid process of the sphenoid bone. � It contributes to the walls of three cavities: the floor and lateral wall of the nasal cavity, the roof of the mouth, and the floor of the orbit
It resembles the letter L & consists of: � a horizontal plate a perpendicular plate � three outstanding processes(the pyramidal process, the orbital and sphenoidal process �
