Pars planitis • It is the most common form of intermediate uveitis constituting approximately 85%-90% of cases • Intermediate uveitis when there is snow bank or snow ball formation in the absence of associated infection or systemic disease • The cause is unknown
Pars planitis • Most commonly affects persons 5 -40 years of age • 5 -15 years, and 20 -40 years • Autoimmune reaction against vitreous, peripheral retina and ciliary body • Presents with significant inflamation in AC in childeren, and floaters in young adults
Insidious in young adults Significant inflammation in A/C
