Important Policy Reminders • • • No F-E deferrals starting with 2009 cohort PPs negotiate all terms of university admissions Focus placement options at SUPs/cluster schools For F-Es interested in US and UK, Secretariat reserves the right to accept offers by cost-sharing institutions Need to activate in-country/in region placements earlier (incl. if a visa is denied) to insure grant start within same academic year

Important Policy Reminders • Requests for dependents to join considered after successful completion of first academic semester (pending also proof of funding and health insurance) • Tighter grant extension, renewal and closure requirements - no retroactive payments to/on behalf of fellows • No suspensions other than for personal health reasons affecting fellows directly • Most economical repatriation airfares/routes (to be verified by IIE/NY) • Possibility that additional benefits (PEF, FF) will be reduced in FY 10 (if additional budget cuts are required)
