Learning becomes better in an atmosphere where learning is fun. Learning arises from interaction with others. Writer’s Block ‘breakers n n n Engage in pre-writing activities such as puzzles, games etc. Make sassy sentences--- Each word begins with the same letter. ( eg: Mary makes me mad) Mind message – write a word and connect with words which are related.

PUBLISHING THE WORK. Learn to write and share your experience with others. Encourage students to come with a class magazine and frame your own departmental magazine Challenge students to write group-chain novels (students add to a story started by another).

Reading ( Teaching Thinking) n n n Reading is inherently a problem solving activity. Successful readers and writers need knowledge about spelling , the characteristics and purposes of different text types , use of punctuation and so on. ( Activity). Reading demands interpretation. Readers must make decisions about how a written text should be analysed to interpret the writer’s intended meaning.
