Imagine you are a Stone Age child living in the Neolithic era. What would your senses be experiencing?
Dear Diary, Today has been gruelling. It started just before the crow sang its high-pitched morning verse and the sun had thrown its first rays on to the crops. Last night I couldn’t sleep because of my busy, frantic mind, imagining all of the terrible things that may happen if our crops do not produce well this year. I tossed and turned all night; the stone bed feeling more uncomfortable than normal. The stony floor emanated its coldness; our solid, stone stools becoming even heavier and the night air wrapping itself around me like an icy jacket. Maybe it’s because I’m becoming thinner – my bones are beginning to show through my fur clothes. Eyelids heavy and bones cold, I trudged up to check on the animals and give them their feed. The hogs and sheep looked like they had slept well. Still snoozing in the warm light of the morning sun, they lifted their heads as I approached, expecting.
