Imre Bródy (1891 - 1944) • Bródy was born in Gyula, he was university educated in Budapest and became a physicist. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on the chemical constant of monoatomic gases. His most important invention dates from 1930. Since the new gas was expensive, he developed a process with his colleagues to obtain krypton from air. Production of krypton filled lamps based on his invention started at Ajka in 1937.

Bródy Day • On Bródy Day students can do a lot of activities. This day is for students so they can: – play football – play computer – see the work of firefighters – see how ambulance are working – take part in funny rivals

School leaving ceremony • This day the students who finished their studies are leaving the grammar school during a ceremony. On this festivity the headmaster of the school gives a speech. The students farewell from the teachers and each other. The next year they are going to a university or they are going to work.

Sports in Bródy Imre Grammar School • In the school students have a lot of facilities to do sports. There are trainings for: – basketball – floorball – football – volleyball – athletics
