Testing Policies • All students should be included in the Quality of School Climate and Safety Survey. • An important aspect of an online test administration involves protecting the security and confidentiality of all parts of the assessment from the secure test content, testing tickets, answer documents, seal codes, online assessments, and scratch paper. Treat as you would operational assessments by following the Administration Code Regulation. • BACs and DACs will need to ensure all testing schedules and seating charts accurately reflect the testing environment for each student taking the test. • Scratch paper is allowed on all online content area field tests. • Test administration of field test may include students in varying grades and content areas. • All students taking the online test, without requisite accommodations on a student plan, must use the online Desmos calculator provided to students within Test. Nav. If a student has within their student plan an accommodation allowing a hand-held calculator, they are permitted to use one during online testing. • Dictionaries and thesauri are available to students in Grades 5, 8 and 11 during the online on -demand writing (ODW) assessment within Test. Nav. • Schedule makeup testing sessions for students who are absent during the testing window. • KDE will observe online field testing at multiple locations. Kentucky Pearson. Access next Training 36
