ALS Glide Slope Localizer Facilities for ILS

ALS Approach Lighting Systems (ALS) provide the basic means to transition from instrument flight to visual flight for landing (FAA).

Glide Slope The Glide Slope is radiated via an antenna array located in the general area of the approach runway, a vertical tower about 20' tall (Avionicslist).
