The Goals of the Collaborative l The primary goals for the contract are to: – – 4 Assist DHS/DMH in continuing movement toward the recovery/resiliency model, including enhancing consumer and family choice and access to services Ensure and enhance the quality and appropriateness of DHS/DMH-funded services

Role of the Collaborative l l l 5 The Collaborative will function under the direction and leadership of DHS/DMH The Collaborative will process and review all applications for ICG The Collaborative will review annual eligibility and reauthorization process

DHS/DMH Overview of Individual Care Grant (ICG) l l l ICG services date back to 1967 Funding based on clinical need (consent decree) Governed by Rule 135 – – – l 8 Ensure access for those most in need of mental health service (“Serious mental Illness”) Ensure that services meet standards of quality relative to state-of-the-art mental health services Ensures that Rule 135 services are available for eligible children and adolescents Application Process (remains the same)

Illinois Based Staff l l 9 Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker making decisions Trained in Rule 135 requirements Works closely with current ICG staff IT system to support current and future reporting
