Implementation of Enhancement l These enhancements will be implemented Friday, 8/28/09. The last run of the current batch process will be 8/27/09 at 1 PM Central. Any files received after 1 PM will need to meet the new requirements. All files received after 1 PM will be held and processed after the changes have been implemented on 8/28/09 and the reports will be available on Monday, 8/31/09.

Three new fields l Income Verification l Permanent Supported Housing l Money follows the Person

Income Verification Position To Position From Length Usage 869 1 C Description Indicates if the Household and client income was documented or attested. Valid Values: D – Documented A – Attested This is required for indicator of ‘C’ and ‘R’. Can be sent on ‘D’ but will be not be used in processing. When field is required and is spaces or is not a valid value – assign error code 193 with message ‘Income Verification is missing/invalid’ 4

Permanent Supported Housing Position To Position From Length Usage 870 1 C Description Indicates if the consumer is in Permanent Supported Housing. Valid Values: Y – Yes N–N This is required for indicator of ‘C’ and ‘R’. Can be sent on ‘D’ but will be not be used in processing. When field is required and is spaces or is not a valid value – assign error code 196 with message ‘Permanent Supported Housing is missing/invalid’ 5

Money follows the Person Position To Position From Length Usage 871 1 C Description Indicates if the consumer is enrolled in the DMH/HFS "Money Follows the Person Initiative". Valid Values: Y – Yes N – No This is required for indicator of ‘C’ and ‘R’. Can be sent on ‘D’ but will be not be used in processing. When field is required and is spaces or is not a valid value – assign error code 197 with message ‘Money follows the Person is missing/invalid’ 6

Length of all records changing to accommodate new fields Registration record and trailer record changing from 868 to 871 l Response files updated to include 3 new fields l

Updates to existing error codes l l All Diagnosis code error codes (077 – 085) – Any diagnosis code submitted with the decimal will now be an error. The error code will correspond to the specific diagnosis code. Error code 026 – ‘Street Address 1 is missing or invalid’ – Updated to include if any special characters are submitted (Examples: *, #, &, %)

New Error Codes l l Error Code 194 - ‘Client Income cannot be greater than Household Income’ - This error will occur when the Client Income is greater than the Household Income Error Code 195 -‘Street Address line 2 is invalid’ – This error will occur when the street address line 2 is reported and contains special characters (Examples: *, #, &, %)
