Prioritisation of misuse cases 1. Misuse impacts on protective use of the emblem by the armed forces or by a component of the Movement, or relates to a current situation of armed conflict. 2. Misuse significantly detracts from the special meaning and status of the emblem, for example, misuse by HMG, or use by a political party which may influence understanding of the emblem as a neutral sign. 3. Misuse is highly visible or high-profile, e. g. Olympic Games, or is somewhat sensitive e. g. misuse by another charitable organisation. 4. Misuse detracts from the prestige of the emblem and makes it a subject of ridicule e. g. pantomime use, use on novelty items. 5. Misuse of the emblem for commercial gain. 6. Any other misuse (straightforward/low impact).
