SO HOW DO I GET THERE? Standard Science Programme EDEXCEL IGCSE Double Award How is it graded? • An average mark across the 3 papers which is graded A*A*, A*A, AB, … …, FG, GG. What is the benefit? • Some students are more likely to achieve (two) higher grades than with Triple Award as there is a one third reduction in content when compared to Triple Award. Specialist in Science Programme EDEXCEL IGCSE Triple Award How is it graded? • Each Science will receive a separate grade, A* to G. What is the benefit? • Students who are strong scientists in all 3 disciplines can receive 3 IGCSE grades

Students who… Wish to maximise their chances of getting 2 very good IGCSE grades for Science, rather than risk overstretching themselves with additional content to try and get 3. Aim to take one or more Standard Level Sciences at IB (although with two very good grades, it would be possible to study a Higher Level science) Are currently not aiming to follow a Science based degree course at University. Specialist in Science Programme EDEXCEL IGCSE Triple Award Who is it for? Students who… Have a strong interest and ability in all the Sciences and regularly receive excellent grades for IB Learner Profile Attributes on their Science reports. Can manage increased workload and increased content to revise. Attain a Level 7 or above in each of the 3 Sciences during the Year 9 Assessments. Aim to specialize in one or more Higher Level Sciences at IB. Aim to follow a Science based degree course at University.

After this the classes will then follow different curricula
