Motions for IEEE Board of Directors Proposed: Resolved that the IEEE Board of Directors supports the proposal from the IEEE (MGA) Young Professionals for funding of $200 K, $625 K, and $505 K in 2017, 2018, and 2019, respectively, to support the delivery of the current program and the projects proposed in the business plan and asks the IEEE Finance Committee to advise on the proposal and future funding. Passed: Resolved that the IEEE Board of Directors supports the proposal from the IEEE (MGA) Young Professionals for funding of $200 K in 2017 with a review in 2017 for further continuation.

Strategic Partnership [Updates] 1/3 Startup Grind (https: //www. startupgrind. com) 200 Cities, 98 Countries, 1 M+ entrepreneurs Monthly event: – Networking, Successful local entrepreneur/VC, Mentorship – Attendance: YP age group of 60 -80 people. In Region 6, Startup Grind have 7 active chapters – Seattle, San Francisco, Bay Area, Los Angeles, Boise, San Diego, Phoenix 14 9/25/2020
Strategic Partnership [Updates] 2/3 20 Tickets @ $15/ticket (against the average of $20) for local event. YP will cover $10, attendee will pay $5. Per chapter annual expense: – 6 Events x 20 tickets x $10 => $1200 – $750 will be covered by MGA seed funding. – Section out of pocket: $450 Seattle is in-progress (starting from February event).
