ID&R Outreach: Schools Family Search Form • Placed in every student registration packet every year • Available in English and Spanish on the ID&R website • If a family answers yes to both questions, they are 1 st priority • If a family only answers yes to the work question, they are 2 nd priority

Employers don’t like to be bothered when they are busy! • Visit businesses when workers are on their lunch break, when they get off work or when there is a shift change. • Visit workers and bring them cold water while they are on break. • What other strategies does your parish use to collaborate with businesses to identify MEP students?

Employer Research Resources H- Type Visas • • H-1 B - Specialty occupations (e. g. , science, medicine and healthcare, education, biotechnology, and business specialties). H-1 B 1 - Foreign professionals from Chile and Singapore in specialty occupations under the U. S-Chile Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act (Public Law 108 -77) and the U. S-Singapore Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act (Public Law 10878). H-2 A – Seasonal or temporary agricultural services or labor (Job orders are generally granted for activities lasting 10 months or less but can be extended under special circumstances) H-2 B – Seasonal or temporary, non-agricultural services or labor. Employer Research Resources The H-2 A nonimmigrant worker visa program enables United States agricultural employers to employ foreign workers on a temporary basis to perform agricultural labor or services in the absence of U.
