Simple sentence is structured with only one subject and one finite verb. Example: 1. Bangladesh is a populated country. 2. Life is not a bed of roses. 3. He wants to be rich man. 4. A man knowing better English gets good job easily. Do you know what are finite and non-finite verbs?
Look at the examples and think about forms of verbs here. ***1. I want to be a doctor. 2. He wants to be doctor. 3. They wanted to be a doctor. *** 1. I see him playing football. 2. He sees him paying football. 3. I saw him playing football. Now find out the finite and non-finite verbs from these examples.
“to+be” and “verb+ing—that is, ‘playing’ ” are non-finite verbs; they donot change with the change of person, number of the subjects, even they are unchanged with the change of tense also. “want” and “see” are finite verbs; they change with the change of person, number of the subjects and with the tense also.
Compound Sentence A compound sentence has tow or more independent clauses but no sub-ordinate clause(s). Note: The independent clauses are usually joined by some connecting or linking words such as and, but, or, nor, for, yet , however, therefore etc. Example: I like jogging but I like swimming better. Explanation: ‘I like jogging’ and ‘I like swimming better’ are two independent clause joined with a linking word ‘but’.
Some other Example of Compound Sentences 1. He graduated last year , and now he Works in A private bank. 2. The giraffe has a long neck and long legs, but it is a very graceful animal. 3. Fruits and vegetables should be a part of everyday’s diet, for they supply necessary vitanins.

Example: If you work hard, you will shine in life. Explanation: “If you work hard’-- is sub-ordinate clause and “you will shine in life”-- is main or principal clause.
Complex Sentence *** Sub-ordinate clause begins with conjunctions like who, which, that, when, how, where, while, if/whether, because/since/as, though/although, till/until, unless, before, after, so that, whenever, wherever, whoever, whatever, etc. *** Example: 1.
