Identifying points of view in a text.
Point of view: 1. The method used by an author to tell a story - 3 rd Person limited: This is when the reader is told the story from one character’s point of view and we are limited to only his/her thoughts or feelings. - 3 rd Person omniscient: This is when the reader is told the story from more than one character’s point of view.

Point of view can also mean a person’s view or thoughts on a topic. For example: What is your point of view about cartoons?
Point of view Different people have different points of view on literally everything, but sometimes people can share the same point of view. Easy points of view can be likes and dislikes. Like? Dislike?
“From my point of view …” This is an English idiom, it literally means This is my opinion and it is usually backed up with a reason why a person may have this point of view.
So … 1. Point of view is used by authors to tell a viewpoint for readers to connect to the story. 2. Point of view is also an opinion In the assessment paper there will be questions on both types of meanings for point of view.
