Layer 3 – Pipe Dimension Study Conclusion - Going from Ø 2. 2/2. 5 mm Cooling Pipe to Ø 2. 7/3 mm for Layer 3 Rings: • Is Mechanically OK but not testing on Jigs (bending) • Increases the total mass by 0. 8 kg (≈0. 5% of the full TBPS) • Increases the distance from the Cooling plate center by 1 mm (thermal performance effect ? ) • Decreases, theoretically, ΔT by 2 (from 8 -9°C to 4 -4. 5°C(according to the chart)) • No impact on the Sandwich Plate Ring (its Price Enquiry is about to be launched) - Until further (thermal) studies we keep the 2. 2/2. 5 mm pipe as baseline for all TPBS Rings 11
