Challenges of PPTICRMs § Provincial PPTICRMs in some provinces not formally appointed resulting in low levels of commitment. § Ideal Clinic activities are not seen as part of core responsibilities. § District champions are also responsible for other programs, e. g. Risk Management, MCWH, NCS, Infection control and complaints managements, etc. § Team members are allocated other ad hoc responsibilities by their immediate supervisors
CONCLUSION § The is a need for provinces/districts to operationalise resolutions of the Operation Phakisa ICRM Lab as approved by Departments of Health and The Presidency.
