FEMB Parameters • Front End Gain - 4. 7 m. V/f. C, 7. 8 m. V/f. C, 14 m. V/f. C and 25 m. V/f. C • Front End Shaping Time - 0. 5 m. Sec, 1. 0 m. Sec, 2. 0 m. Sec and 3. 0 m. Sec • Front End Baseline - 200 m. V, 900 m. V and 200 m. V for Collection and 900 m. V for Induction • Front End Leakage Current - 500 p. A and 1000 p. A • AC/DC Coupling - DC Coupling and AC Coupling 2 4/2/2020 Mishra | ICEBERG Study of FEMB Paramters
Runs • We have taken 20 pulser run each - Varying one parameter in each subset while keeping all the other parameters to the default value. • For Example when Front End Gain was changed to 4. 7, 7. 8 and 25 m. V/f. C - Shaping Time = 2 m. Sec, - Baseline = 900 m. V, - Leakage current = 500 p. A - Coupling = DC 3 4/2/2020 Mishra | ICEBERG Study of FEMB Paramters

Summary • When the AC coupling between the FE ASIC and ADC is turned on the Collection plane ADC pulse shows a bipolar signal, in which the negative pulse has RC time constant of ~20 msec. • Matt Worcester: - The AC coupling on the FE ASIC is not compatible with the AC coupling between the FE and ADC ASICs on the proto. DUNE FEMBs, - So you'd expect some really abnormal behavior. - The FE ASIC AC coupling only makes sense if the FEMB's AC coupling is removed. - So on the proto. DUNE FEMBs the FEs should only ever be run in DC coupled mode. 9 4/2/2020 Mishra | ICEBERG Study of FEMB Paramters
