ASO Address Council • Continued to observe progress in the establishment of LACNIC and AFRINIC new RIRs. • LACNIC expected to become an operational RIR at conclusion of current (Shanghai) meeting • LACNIC has made preparations to elect ASO AC members at their November 2002 meeting following ICANN approval of operational status • LACNIC and AFRINIC representatives have actively participated in all current ASO activities and in the ICANN reform process ICANN Meeting, Shanghai 2002
