Commercial Mobile 700 MHz – Consultation comment period closed yesterday, Feb. 28 – Reply comments by March 30 WCS – 2300 MHz – Studying recent technical rules changes in US – Will engage RABC for technical rules revision early 2011 AWS – Beginning studies on AWS-2 and AWS-3 – Following the US discussions on the recent NTIA studies 2
Public Safety SRSP-511 – Working on a companion document with colour coded tables to show the channelling plan (conventional, trunking, interoperability, etc. ) – Working on some minor corrections Whitepaper on Coordination – Completed whitepaper to explain the technical limits IC uses when coordinating US stations – Will be published in January VHF/UHF – Completed studies examining possible national and regional interoperability channels – Next step: Study report (April 2011) and possible consultation (timeframe TBD) 3
Redeployment / Narrowbanding RDP 100 -500 MHz – Planning to consult on next steps including transition dates for Phase 1 and Phase 2. – March- April 2011 timeframe RABC Narrowbanding WG 4
SRSP Revisions SRSP-500 – Include MURS and corrections – Timing TBD (depends whether results from RDP consultation are also included) SRSP-502 – Incorporate changes for border coordination – April 2011 (dependent on conclusion of FCC discussions) SRSP-506 and SRSP-509 – Possible band plan changes to better accommodate trunking requirements – Incorporate some changes from SP 1. 7 GHz – Update language – Timing TBD 5
