� Paul I Corinthians 15: 1 -11 Points of the Gospel preached it � They received it and stood in it vs. 1 � They were saved and held fast to it vs. 2 � 1. Jesus died according to the Scriptures � 2. I Cor. 15: 12 -19 Problem? Some said there was no resurrection � IF there is no resurrection: � Not even Christ has been raised vs. 13 � Paul’s preaching was in vain vs. 14 � Their faith was in vain vs. 14 � Paul and others were false witnesses vs. 15 � Their faith was worthless vs. 17 � They were still in their sins vs. 17 � Those who died in Christ have perished vs. 18 � Hope is only in this life vs. 19

� First I Cor. 15: 20 -28 Christ HAS been raised fruits of those who are asleep � Adam- all die Christ – all will be made alive � Each in his own order � Order of events: 1. Christ raised and coming 2. Those who are Christ’s at His coming 3. The end

The End � After Christ’s coming vs. 24 � Christ hands over the kingdom to the Father � He reigns between His coming and the end � Abolish all rule, authority and power vs. 24 � All his enemies will be defeated vs. 25 � Last enemy abolished- death vs. 26 � All things put in subjection vs. 27 � God the Father is not under subjection vs. 27

� Those I Cor. 15: 29 -34 Don’t be deceived who said there is no resurrection are deceived � Those who only live for this life are deceived � Be sober-minded � Stop sinning � The end result of believing there is no resurrection, is having no knowledge of God

I Cor. 15: 35 -49 How are the dead raised? � Illustration: wheat Grain doesn’t come to life unless it dies and is planted vs. 36 -37 � All flesh has different bodies: fish, birds, heavenly bodies, earthly ones… � Resurrected body is different from the body that died

Different Bodies � Sown perishable Raised imperishable � Sown in dishonor Raised in glory � Sown in weakness Raised in power � Sown natural Raised spiritual � We bear the earthly image � We WILL bear the heavenly image
