Why a Smart Sensor ? The digital character and “smartness” of sensors is advantageous in many ways. • Cable length independent performance with RS 485 (Digital) output • Multiple sensors on the same bus • flexibility to add new sensors/parameters at any point of time without any changes to Data Logger / System (channels etc). • Ready to use calibrated data in engineering units - not error prone voltage or current signals that need to be interpreted. • Calibration corrects sensor itself- no need to correct readings externally. e-Stilling Well Algorithm • Komoline water level sensors provide for a user-configurable internal signal processing function to extract very accurate background water levels • Komoline calls this function the “e-Stilling Well”. Its like an electronic version of the stilling well. And is made possible by the smart sensor architecture of Komoline water level sensors - gauge pressure, absolute pressure, ultrasonic or radar based water level sensors.
