Hungary in the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid Csaba
Hungary in the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid Csaba Hajdu KFKI-RMKI NKTH, 30. 05. 2008 1
Mission: develop, build and maintain computing infrastucture for storage and analysis of LHC data KFKI-RMKI joined (W)LCG as the 7 th participant in June 2003 Present WLCG Mo. U: T 0 (CERN) + 11 T 1 s + 60 T 2 s T 2 in the Mo. U may mean several T 2 s and T 3 s together 31 countries are involved 4 Virtual Organizations corresponding to the LHC experiments Sites typically do not support all VOs 2

CCRC 08 Combined Computing Readiness Challenge Lasted four weeks, ends today (How) does WLCG work at site / experiment / global level? Test everything before real data comes KFKI-RMKI: storage system needed changes/tuning, otherwise working fine 6

Hun. Grid VO Opens the Grid to the non-HEP Hungarian research community We use our expertise gained from WLCG. . . and also the (old) WLCG hardware New resources will have to be added 8
Summary CCRC 08 metrics met, ready for real data continue testing and tuning increase both CPU and storage capacities 9
