Human Trafficking is NOT • The slavery we read about during Black History Month. • Legal…it is very illegal. • Demographically bias. • Talked about enough. • Not every victim will escape, be released especially alive, nor will the victim always speak out against their captor. • Seen in a world that sees everything.

Global impact • Threatens the survival human life. • Spreads disease and sickness. • Dehumanizes human beings by turning them into property (objects). • Destroys families, communities and futures by the taking of an individual. • Organizers make billions each year to fund: organized crime, feuds, terrorism etc.

Human Trafficking and You • You can’t choose to just look the other way when it comes to Human Trafficking because it could be your mother, sister, aunt, cousin, brother, son, daughter and maybe even you.

Human Trafficking unnoticed • No one believes that it is happening. • It’s not in their face or not them. • There is not enough buzz about human trafficking. • Some occurrences do not even make the news locally, nationally nor internationally. • Ignorance • Negligence
