What Is Self-Esteem, Self. Image, and Projection?
Both self-esteem and self-confidence can translate to positive human relations
Self-confidence can come from several sources: 1. Actual experience. 2. Experiences of others. 3. Social comparison. 4. Social persuasion. 5. Emotional arousal.
Self-efficacy is the confidence you have to carry out a specific task.
Self-image is a bit different than self-esteem in that it means how an individual thinks others view him or her.
Projection refers to how your selfesteem is reflected in the way you treat others
IMPROVING SELF-CONFIDENCE 1. Use positive self-talk and visual imagery.
2. Take risks.
3. Accomplish.
4. Know your strengths and weaknesses.
5. Choose to spend time with people who boost your self-esteem.
The Johari window was created in 1955 by Josephy Luft and Harry Ingham.
The grid consists of four windows
Having higher self-esteem and higher self-confidence can improve our projection, meaning we can better accept criticism, learn from our mistakes, and communicate more effectively. This can result in better human relations at work and, ultimately, higher productivity and higher profitability.
