Proposal: open for discussion <‘Human impact’ (of austerity) invites us to share real life stories, to show a human face, reality of people experiencing poverty <It’s part of the EAPN communications objectives (and overall objectives) to make the voices of people experiencing poverty heard <Proposal: a short video, based on very short video -interviews with people experiencing poverty, on how austerity measures impact their daily lives.

Why? <Using videos can give us another (potentially bigger) reach, can increase our impact

Why? <Using videos can give us another (potentially bigger) reach, can increase our impact <Videos (disseminated through social media) can strengthen and amplify our messages <Bringing the voices, faces, stories of people experiencing poverty closer to decision makers can work as an eye opener, reïnforcing our general policy and advocacy work

How? <Interview a person with direct experience of poverty about the impact of a

How? <Interview a person with direct experience of poverty about the impact of a concrete austerity measure on his/her daily life. <Organise the interview so that the person speaking gives enough context to be understood, also for an audience that doesn’t know the reality in your country <Send us a selection of maximum 1 minute, with the English translation of what the person is

Who? To be discussed <All EUISG members could make their own videos, sharing it

Who? To be discussed <All EUISG members could make their own videos, sharing it on social media and on their website, newsletter…, use it in their advocacy work on national level <We can make a joint video, based on the selection of max. 5 stories/persons, from 5 different countries, edit it with a very brief statement against austerity, for social investment.
