Electronic Medication Administration Record (e. MAR) e. MAR will replace our current paper medication records. This will eliminate transcription and enable more timely updates of current medications.
Closed Loop Medication Administration (CLMA) Barcode scanning will be integrated with the electronic medication administration record (e. MAR). Closed-loop medication administration virtually eliminates the risk for patients to receive the wrong medication.
Electronic Medication Reconciliation (e Med Rec) Orders from the patient medication history can be directly translated into inpatient medication orders as needed.
HUGO benefits Improved Access through decreased turn around time Improved outcomes through standardized evidence-based care Decrease medication errors Meet ROP Accreditation Standards Improved compliance with medication reconciliation Reduction in duplicate orders Improved communication Improved antibiotic therapy Improved trending and reporting of quality indicators Reduced HSMR
