HUDSON LEAGUE FOR SERVICE ____ Dedicated to Community Service _____________www. hudsonleagueforservice. org_________________ 2019 - 2020 MEMBERSHIP FORM Your membership in the Hudson League for Service provides you the opportunity to have fun serving in your community. Volunteers support others by helping with the Blood Drive, the Food Pantry, Caroling on the Green, Winter Coat and the Giving Tree projects. Kindness is promoted through the Random Act of Kindness activities. Scholarships and community grants are made through the fundraising activities of the Ice Cream Social and Book Fairs. Please consider joining or renewing your current membership. Annual dues defray administrative costs so that all funds raised can be returned to our community. A chairperson will call you with more information. ____BARLOW COMMUNITY CENTER BLOOD DRIVE: Our members assist by helping with registration and refreshments at the monthly Red Cross Blood Drive usually held on the 4 th Wednesday of each month. ____HUDSON COMMUNITY SERVICE ASSOCIATION (HCSA) FOOD PANTRY: Members accept donations from the community the second Thursday of each month from 4 to 6 PM. and with training can help with the distribution on the last Saturday of each month. ____BOOK FAIRS: Members help with the set up and sale of books held each fall and spring at the Hudson City Schools. ____CAROLING ON THE GREEN: Volunteers coordinate this community activity at the Gazebo to sing carols at dusk the Friday following Thanksgiving before the lighting of the trees. ____GIVING TREE PROJECT: Members donate holiday gifts for a chosen family listed with the Hudson Ministerial Association. ____WINTER COAT PROJECT: Members arrange for the collection of adult winter coats at Martinizing Dry Cleaners and distribute these coats. during the Hudson Food Pantry distribution day. ____RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS: Members sponsor the world wide RAK celebrations locally during the second full week in February. ____ICE CREAM SOCIAL: As part of Hudson Festival Days each June, members plan and staff the Hudson tradition of fun, food, games and entertainment on the Clocktower and Gazebo Greens.
