Homework Policy Class Rules Be Respectful Homework is an essential component of the course. Homework will be reasonable in length and provides the best way to check for understanding. Use electronic devices appropriately Treat others as you want to be treated Be Responsible Clean up after yourself Communicate your needs Be Ready Come with homework done Bring all required materials to class Electronic Devices • Are not required for class. • May be used with permission for academic purposes only. • May access the guest Wi-Fi to access online resources including the e. Book. • Must be secured during testing. • Will be confiscated for improper usage per school policy. Homework assignments will be posted on the website and sent through Remind daily. Homework is expected to be completed by the next class period. Late work will not receive full credit. Grading Policy Grades will be calculated using Daily Work/Homework Quizzes, Tests, Projects Common District Assessments It is expected that the work you turn in is your own. It is expected that you protect your work. Letting someone copy your assignment will cause you to face the same consequences as copying. Consequences could include: • Parent contact • Office Referral • No credit the following scale: 20% 30% 50% If you are absent, Second Chances If any student is unsuccessful on the common assessment(s), another opportunity will be provided for reassessment. In order to be eligible to retake any of the common assessments, students must provide evidence that they have adequately prepared for the test. Minimum Criteria for all Retakes: 1) Complete any missing or incomplete assignments from the unit. 2) Schedule a time to meet with Mrs. Cone to go over and correct the original test. 3) Attend a minimum of two extra study sessions. 4) Must be completed within 4 weeks of the original assessment.
