Developer – Cu. Vee Sotfware • Developer is Willy Kuntz who is in Switzerland. • John Rausch was instrumental in getting this project started. He even sent Willy a visually and functionally perfect HP-65 to test RPN-65. John also scanned all the card pictures included in RPN 65. • The HP-65 was the toughest calculator to simulate so far, mainly because it behaves so unexpectedly in many ways. 3

Developer – Cu. Vee Sotfware • Also developed i. Pad emulators for HP-45, HP-70,

Developer – Cu. Vee Sotfware • Also developed i. Pad emulators for HP-45, HP-70, HP-67, and HP-97 • Also developed i. Pod/i. Phone emulators for HP-45, HP-70, and HP-35. • Offers good online support for various emulators. • Brings back the love for classic HP calculators! 4

Features • Includes many HP application Pacs already installed. • Support legacy calculator features and operations. • Support enhanced calculator features (partial list): • • • 999 program steps. 111 additional registers, including double-digit registers and registers a to e, with full store and recall register arithmetic. 105 additional labels, include lowercase a to e and double-digit numerical labels. Run programs musch faster than the HP-65. Use virtual program and data cards. 11

Features (cont. ) • Print on a virtual paper tape printer. E-mail the paper tape, or send output to a real printer. • Follow subroutine nesting on the paper tape. • Watch the stack, the memory registers, the program step counter and the flags in real-time. • Enter program steps by simply typing commands into the program listing. • Copy/paste values and program steps directly in the display. 12

Features (cont. ) (Special features not found in the original HP-65) • Continuous memory.

Features (cont. ) (Special features not found in the original HP-65) • Continuous memory. • Support for BST (by pressing the [g][SST] keys). The [g] [SST] toggles, locks single-stepping direction of the SST key, and move program pointer up or down. For example pressing the keys [g] [SST] takes you back three steps in the program. To resume single-stepping downward, pressing the keys [g][SST] single steps by one instruction down. • Support nested GSB ([f-1] [GTO]) subroutines using extended labels. 13

Features (cont. ) (Special features not found in the original HP-65) • High-precision calculations,

Features (cont. ) (Special features not found in the original HP-65) • High-precision calculations, exceeding the display capacity. • Program steps shown in mnemonics in the display area. • Register arithmetic works with RCL command. • Reads data cards created by RPN-65/67/97. • Visual status indicators of prefix keys. 14

Features (cont. ) • The enhanced mode RPN-65 is a conceptual HP-67 minus. •

Features (cont. ) • The enhanced mode RPN-65 is a conceptual HP-67 minus. • Emulator web site is http: //www. cuveesoft. ch/rpn 65/index. html Includes HP-65 Pacs (Standard, E. E. I, Math II, Stat I, and Aviation I) that you can download. Upcoming HP-65 Pacs include Chemical Engineering Pac 1, E. E. Pac 2, Finance Pac 1, Machine Design Pac 1, Navigation Pac 1, and Stat Pac 2. • • • Missing is indirect addressing. No pause command. Can use custom command –x– to pause. No tests for comparing the stack register X with zero. No [∑+] key and no mean and standard deviation functions. No registers dedicated for statistical summations. 15
