HP 1910 energy efficiency features Miercom Green certified Feature: Power efficient silicon How it works: Uses the latest 65 nm silicon Benefit: Reduces power consumption Feature: Auto idle power down mode How it works: Detects ports that are idle and powers down these ports to save power. Benefit: Saves power depending on usage Feature: Cable length detect How it works: Detect ports that have clients connected at shorter distances (cables <25 m) and reduce signal power on these ports. Benefit: Saves power depending on network deployment Feature: Scheduled Port Shutdown How it works : Can pre-schedule ports based on time of day - to work at lower speeds (less power) or completely shutdown ports when unused. Benefit: Saves power Additional security benefit of shutting Po. E client devices like IP phones and APs. Typically seen in offices where administrator can secure network after office hours. 19 © Copyright 2012 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L. P.
