Pumpkin Carving Contest • Autumn is the season for pumpkins. Utilize this by having a pumpkin carving contest. Help your fundraising budget by asking your local grocery store for pumpkin donations. Schedule a time for the event, so carving takes place on site. Have attendees privately vote for their favorite pumpkin. At the end of a onehour period, tally the votes to determine the winner. • Increase the fun and creativity by having different classes of pumpkin carving. Have a variety of small, medium and large pumpkins available. You may be amazed at what can be done with the smallest of pumpkins. Award prizes for the most creative in each size class. Help your budget by awarding our free incentives.

Sell Autumn Flower Bouquets • Autumn is the season of beautiful, deep colors that resonate the changing of seasons. Think about rich rusts, greens, golds, oranges and maroons and you have autumn. • Ask your local flower shop for donations of live flowers to save expenses. Also check into artificial flower bouquets, which some people may prefer. Or, ask creative members of your team to make artificial flowers into a beautiful bouquet. Place these bouquets onto viewing tables, with a price tag by each. Sell the bouquets. For fun, award a prize to the prettiest bouquet. Have attendees vote on the bouquets before starting the sale.

Best Pumpkin Pie Contest Who does not like pumpkin pie? It signifies autumn. Be creative and raise additional funds by holding a best pumpkin pie contest. Put up flyers around town for pie bakers. Give out prizes for first, second and third place. Ask local merchants to donate prizes. Schedule a two-hour time period so participants can enjoy the festivities. Ask prominent community members to be judges. Sell some goodies during the festivities. Also consider selling whole pies, which have been baked by your team members and/or community members. Also sell popular autumn liquid refreshments like apple cider and hot chocolate which have been donated by community members.

Give Thanks For Teachers (schools) A bulletin board is designated on a prominent location within the school. Each classroom teacher will have a turkey with a photo of their face on the turkey’s head and their name underneath. Students may purchase feathers for a $ 1. 00 donation and place on the teacher who they are most thankful for or who has been the biggest influence on them. The teacher who has the most feathers receives a free turkey on the last day prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
