How to Set Up Your Senior Project Presentation Mrs Pierce
t. HE a. RT OF b. EING DOMESTIC. Have a title - introduce your topic/project to us. What did you decide to work on? Why did you pick this topic/project? This is your chance to show us your personality, engage us, and let us know why your topic was so important to you.
Context/ Back. Ground/ Research You will want to reference your research paper to ‘set the stage’ for your project - what background information does your audience need to understand your project topic? Do you need to define any specific terms or jargon related to your topic? If so, do so early and quickly in one slide.
Goals - Desired Outcome Creating a slide where you specifically discuss your goals for this project can be helpful - you need to discuss it at some point in the presentation, and its easy to forget to do so once you get started. This can also help the audience understand your motivation throughout the project.
Challenges At some point you need to discuss the challeneges, problems and difficulties you faced. You project didn’t have to turn out perfect - you just had to work hard, consistently, and be able to show us that hard work and struggle! Maybe give suggestions to your audience on how they can meet the same challeneges you faced and be successful.
SHOW US YOUR PROJECT - IN DETAIL!! The majority of your presentation should be you walking us throug your senior project - through pictures, videos, documents, visual aids and your verbal explanations. This is the ‘meat’ of your presenation, and should be as detailed as possible. Use the documentation from your previous checkpoints to flesh this out. Show us each step in the process show us what you learned!
