HOW TO SEARCH EBSCOHOST EBSCOhost –Library database
To access the Library to search EBSCOhost first, click on the library button, which is located in the upper right of your screen
Next, you will come to this screen. Click on the EBSCOhost button indicated by the red arrow.
When this screen appears, click on the words “EBSCOhost Research Database” indicated by the red arrow.
This is the next screen you will see. Click to put a check in the box next to Academic Search Complete, and then click the continue button
When this screen appears; this is where you will type the title of the document if you know it or type the topic of your. search in the gray box indicated by the red arrow. For example, I have typed in The Morality of Plea Bargaining (this is the title of the journal article I am searching for). Click the Search button to start you search.
This is the next screen that is generated and the document I was searching for is the first one on the list. To access the document, I will need to click on the blue title “The Morality of Plea Bargaining” indicated by the red arrow
On this screen there is a lot of information. First this is the article I was searching for, but it may not have the information I need to help me with my research paper, so I will read the abstract section, to see if the information in this article is beneficial. Reading the abstract is less time consuming than reading the entire article. Abstract
Also, on this screen you can click on the cite button on the right and see how the citation should look on your reference page. Not all citations are correctly formatted in this database, so always refer to the APA formatting guidelines for capitalization and other aspects. Cite
Here is the article that I was searching for, now I can read the entire article, which will give me some good reference material to support my research topic.
