How to Pray (Salah)
SALAH • Clean clothes • Clean place • Make Wudoo’ • We face towards Ka’aba in Makkah
Step 1: Takbir Raise both hands behind ears. Say Allahu Akbar ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺃﻜﺒﺮ (Allah is the Greatest)
Step 2: Qiyam Standing, put right hand over your left Boys: Fold their hand under belly button Girls: Put their hands on their chest Recite Surat Al-Fatihah and a short Surah or few Ayat
Step 3: Ruku Bend down saying: Allahu Akbar and say Subhana Rabbiyal Adhim 3 times ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻥ ﺭ ﺍﻟﻌﻈـﺒ (Glory to my Lord the Great)
Step 4 Stand up from Ruku saying: "Sami'Allahu liman hamidah" ﺳﻤﻊ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻟ ﺩﻩ (Allah hears those who praise Him) Stand straight and say: Rabbana lakal hamd ﺭ ﻧﺎ ﻟ ﺍﻟﺩ (Our Lord, praise be to You)
Step 5: Sujood Say Allahu Akbar , then make Sujood by putting your forehead, nose , hands, knees and toes on the floor In Sujood, say: Subhana Rabbiyal A'la 3 times ﺳﺒﺤﺎﻥ ﺭ ﺃﻸﻌﻠﻰ (How Perfect is my Lord, the Highest)
Step 6 Sit up from the floor saying Allahu Akbar Sit upright with your knees bent and palms placed on them Then repeat Sujood again
One full Rak’ah = + + Qiyam Ruku 2 Sujood To start second Rak’ah, you stand up saying Allahu Akbar and repeat these steps
Juloos After second Rak’ah, you sit down to read At -Tashahud and As-Salatul Ibraheemiyyah
Tasleem Now turn your face to the right saying: Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah and then to the left repeating the same words ﺍﻟﺴﻼ ﻋﻠﻴﻡ ﻭﺭﺣﻤ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ (Peace and Mercy of Allah be upon you)
Say Dua at the end
Compulsory (FARD) Rak’aat Prayer times Fajr 2 Before sunrise Thuhr 4 Early afternoon Asr 4 Late afternoon Maghrib 3 After sunset Isha At night 4
