History of Hover. Ball Hoverball was created shortly after the Mind Rain, at approximately the same time the hoverball rig was created. The sport was soon adopted as a favorite by many and soon served as a great way to raise face rank. Today hoverball is still played. This year, recognized nationally, with 6 teams playing for the ultimate title: Winner of the Youngblood Goblet
Hover. Ball Gear Hoverball is principally played using basic equipment: a hoverball rig, and a hoverball. The hoverball is a silver ball. It hovers above the ground, but can be easily moved. It will hover stationary once momentum stops. On the other hand hoverball rig’s are fairly simple. They are seen in the picture.
Hover. Ball Field Hoverball is played on a field like this. The colored dots represent the starting position of players on one team, if this were really hoverball players would be positioned across the field as well. How to Play Hoverball 1. To start the game, get two teams of 5 players. Position yourselves in the appropriate field positions. Allow the hoverball to hover in the middle of the starting star. Make sure your Hoverball rigs are off. When the gong is hit, you may turn on your hoverball rigs. 2. Next the Back Strikers may both charge towards the ball. The first Striker to get the ball may start a play. They may throw, kick, or in anyway propel the ball through the air to another striker.
Continued 3. Hoverball is a for the most part, without strict rules. Not much is prohibited. Strikers may do whatever they want to score a goal. To score a goal they will also have to pass the two defensives and propel the ball through the goal box. 4. The Keeper can try to protect their goal box. For every goal scored, 3 points are awarded. The 4 rounds that consist in hoverball each last roughly 20 minutes.
Rules The few rules that consist in hoverball are simple: • Striker may not leave the goal box • No help with any type of drones, our technological weapons of any kind • No biting, scratching, or cutting of any other players • No nanos or skill improving surges are permitted for players. • Other rules can be applied by Hoverball Wardens at any time during the game.
Hover. Ball Wardens Hoverball Wardens job is to monitor and keep hoverball games safe and follow all rules and restrictions. They can apply any rules that they see fit for specific games.
